Electronic Bill Payment FAQs

Q) Can I pay my bills with SunState Express PC Home$Banking™?
A) YES! With Electronic Bill Payment from SunState you can pay your bills online.

Q) How much does Electronic Bill Payment Cost?
A) Electronic Bill Payment is FREE when you pay at least 3 bills each month using our electronic bill pay service. If you are signed up for our Online Bill Pay service and you pay les than 3 ills in one month the fee for that month is $4.95.

Q) How do I sign up for Electronic Bill Payment?
There are three easy steps to using Electronic Bill Payment!
Step #1: Sign-up by reading the Online Bill Payment Agreement inside Home$Banking and confirming your e-mail address. This e-mail address will be used to send your EBP logon credentials further instructions and to notify you of any changes to your Bill Payment Service. Please allow 1-2 business days to process your application.
Step #2: One your application has been processed you will be able to log onto the EBP service and set up your merchants or payees with their address and account information. Please allow 1 business day to process your payees' information.
Step #3: Schedule payments by specifying the payee amount and date of your payment. Bill payments may not reach the payees until 7 business days after processing.

Q)Does Premium Bill Pay support court-ordered payments or federal tax payments?
A)No. You cannot make court-ordered payments state or federal tax payments through Premium Bill Pay Additionally Bill Pay can only make payments within the United States.

Q) I can't log in to Bill Pay. Help!

This is a list of the most frequently reported log in problems. If you have followed the instructions to access the service and you still cannot log in to your account please review this information.

Registration Pending

Your registration is still pending or your registration has been delayed. Please try again later. If the problem persists contact Customer Service at 800-440-0915.

Invalid Password or User ID

The User ID or Password you entered does not match the User ID and Password recorded by our system. Please check the User ID and Password and try again In most cases an error message will be displayed. You may have changed your password during a previous session. If you forget your password please contact Customer Service at 800-440-0915 for assistance.

Old Page Stuck in Cache

Your browser saves a copy of Web pages you access in a special folder called a cache. Sometimes an older version of the Log In page is still in the cache and your browser does not load the new page when you try to log in. Try emptying your cache. (See your browser help for instructions on emptying the cache or clearing the history.) Then close and reopen your browser and try logging in again.

To clear your cache in Internet Explorer:

  1. Under the Tools/strong> menu select Internet Options.

  2. Select the General tab.

  3. In the Temporary Internet Files area click Delete Files. Click OK in the pop-up box.

  4. In the History area click Clear History. Click OK in the pop-up box.

  5. Click OK on the main Internet Options screen.

  6. Close your browser and then restart.

To clear your cache in Netscape.

  1. Under the Edit menu select Preferences.

  2. Under categories expand Advanced.

  3. Select Cache.

  4. Select Clear Memory Cache then click OK in the pop-up box.

  5. Select Clear Disk Cache then click OK in the pop-up box.

  6. Close your browser and then restart.

ATM Network Unavailable

Occasionally our ATM network experiences an outage. This is similar to an ATM machine that is out of order. You may not be able to log in until the problem is resolved. In most cases an error message will be displayed.

Web Server Unavailable

Our Web server is not available due to a scheduled or unscheduled outage. In most cases an error message will be displayed. Please try again at a another time. If the problem persist contact Customer Service at 800-440-0915.

Web Browser Version or Settings

There is a problem with your Web browser or you need a higher version Web browser. If you are a Windows user try logging in with one of the following recommended browsers:

  • Firefox 1.0

  • Netscape 7.2

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6

  • AOL 9.0

If you are a Macintosh user try:

  • Safari 1.0

  • Safari 1.2

  • Firefox 1.0

  • Netscape 7.2

If you are already using one of these browser versions you can also try re-installing the browser.

 

Problem: Error Message "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site https://www.sunstatefcu.org/cgi.bin/mcw000.cgi?MCWSTART. Cannot connect to the server."

Solution: Most common problems can be fixed and most security problems can be eliminated by running the most current version of your browser. You can upgrade your browser at Microsoft.com. Choose Downloads then Internet Explorer.
If you are running IE 6.01 or higher and are still getting errors try clicking "Refresh" on your browser. If that fixes the problem you may have your cache setting set to always read from your PC's hard drive instead of from the Internet. If your browser is reading pages from your disk cache instead of from the Internet you will need do the following:

  • Check your browser settings.

  • <>In Internet Explorer choose "Tools" & "Internet Options" then click on the General tab.

  • Under Temporary Internet files choose "Settings".

  • Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages" choose either "Every visit" OR "Every start of Explorer".

  • They need to add us to their “Trusted Sites” lists. There is a Security Tab and a Privacy Tab that each need to be set.

  • To customize your Privacy settings for SunState

  • In Internet Explorer on the Tools menu click Internet Options.

  • Click the Privacy tab and then click Sites.

  • In Address of Web site type www.SunStateFCU.org

    • To specify that you want Internet Explorer to always allow cookies from SunStateFCU.org to be saved on your computer click Allow.

    • To add SunState’s site to the Trusted security zone

    • In Internet Explorer on the Tools menu click Internet Options.

    • Click the Security tab and then click Trusted sites

    • Unselect the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box

    • Click Sites.

    • In the "Add this Web site to the zone" text box type StateFCU.org and then click Add.

Modems

This service recommends using a modem speed of 28.8 or higher; however the speed at which you actually connect to the Internet may vary. In addition performance results may vary when using cable modems due to differences in duplex technology offered by cable providers.

Interactive TV Access

Our online banking service does not currently support interactive TV because TV browsers may not conform to generally accepted Web standards resulting in inconsistent online sessions.

Cookies Enabled

In order to provide optimal security performance nd reliability this service requires that cookies be enabled on your Web browser. Cookies are a small piece of information that a Web server can store on your browser so the system recognizes your actions during a session. For additional information please see How Cookies Work.

The following are instructions for enabling cookies based on your Web browser.

How to Enable Cookies for Netscape Communicator:

  1. From the menu bar of your browser select Edit.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Under the category field (on the left side of the Preferences form) click on the word Advanced.

  4. By selecting Advanced the right side of the screen will change from Navigator to Advanced.

  5. From the Cookies section check the Accept all Cookies radio button.

  6. Click on OK.

How to Enable Cookies for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 and 5.5:

  1. From the menu bar of your browser select Tools.

  2. Select Internet Options.

  3. Click on the Security Tab which is the 2nd tab from the left.

  4. Click on the Custom Level button at the bottom of the screen.

  5. From the Security Settings screen scroll down to Cookies. Check the Enable radio button for "Allow cookies that are stored on our computer " as well as "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)".

  6. Click OK.

  7. Answer "yes" to "Are you sure you want to change the security settings for this zone?"

  8. Click OK to close the Internet Options box.

How to Enable Cookies for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6:

  1. From the menu bar of your browser select Tools.

  2. Select Internet Options.

  3. Click on the Privacy tab which is the third tab from the left.

  4. Set the slider to Medium High or below.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Close all of your Internet Explorer browser windows.

  7. Open Internet Explorer and login.

How Cookies Work

As you brows the Web some cookies are "set" on your Web browser. For example cookies are used to store preferences you have requested on frequently visited Web sites. When you close your browser some cookies are stored in your computer's memory in a cookie file while some expire immediately. All cookies have expiration dates.

Cookies cannot be used to obtain data from our computer get your e-mail address or access sensitive or personal information. The only way that any private information could be part of your cookie file would be if you personally provided that information to a Web site. Also each cookie can only be read at the site where the cookie was created.

Other System Error

Another type of System Error has occurred. In most cases an error message and instructions will be displayed.

User Entry Error

Occasionally you have entered a web address o password incorrectly or clicked on the wrong link. If you have successfully logged in before and you cannot log in now please try again and carefully note any system or error messages that may be displayed.

Internet Service Provider

The Internet Service Provider (ISP) that provides your access to the Internet may be experiencing an outage peak usage or other network problem. In most cases when there is an ISP problem the log in page will not be displayed. In some cases the page will be displayed and you can enter a User ID and password and click the Log In button but your session times out before the log in can be completed.
